Druids left frustrated with a point against Llandudno

A solid Druids performance met with a strong Llandudno side at The Rock on Friday, Druids started early with Rittenberg bagging a great goal from distance, the ancients went on to create chances time after time in the first half but failed to find the back of the net heading towards half time it looked to be a game dominated by Druids but Webb put pay to that on the 33rd min bringing the seasiders right back into the fixture.

The second half started more evenly with both sides creating scoring opportunities, Druids broke the deadlock with a goal scuffed across the line by Jack Kenny, seconds later Llandudno were back with an instant response on the break and Dool brought things back level. At the death Druids looked the most likely to take all 3 points but couldn't manage it from a late corner, it ended all level.

Huw Griffiths commented after the match "We created enough chances to win a couple of games, I'm disappointed because we could have been three, four or five goals up at half time. They hit us on the counter, which we knew they were capable of, but we shouldn't have to score three goals to win at home But we didn't lose, which is important."

A win would have possibly guaranteed the Ancients safety for another season in the Welsh Premier League, the draw will give Llandudno hope but they still remain 10 points behind the Druids and have it all to do in the final 5 games of the season.
