Pride in our international call-ups
John Hughes the Chairman of Cefn Druids AFC has spoken of his pride at two of the current squad receiving International Call-ups.
Defender, Naim Arsan will take part in a C International against England at Jenner Park on the 20th march in front of a packed out ground. While Midfielder, Alec Mudimu will travel to Zambia as he plays in a four way tournament there representing Zimbabwe.
These two players join a list of former Druids players who went on to play for their countries and the club prides itself on its long history of supporting international football.
In a recent interview John Hughes commented :- "I'm delighted to be travelling to Barry together with Druids fans to support Naim in the Welsh C team. I will also be keeping an eye on Alec Mudimu representing Zimbabwe in a four way African tournament at the end of March.
Cefn Druids on international duty, myself and everyone at the club are so proud.
All this adds to our fantastic history at the club. In time the story will be of a Ruabon lad done good, playing for his country and a Zimbabwe International who fell in love with the oldest club in Wales"
