GAME ON! Thanks to fantastic support.

In the lead up to last weeks Bangor game, NE Wales was hit by heavy snowfall resulting in the pitch at Druids being covered in up to 12 inches of snow! a favourable forecast of mild wet weather allowed the thaw to set in, but still face with 4 inches of snow on the 3G surface on Friday the club sent out an appeal for help to make sure the Bangor fixture wasn't postponed.

The support was overwhelming with up to 50 people turning up with snowshovels and spades to help clear the pitch. The whole club as well as Sgorio and the FAW have heaped praised on the volunteers who worked tirelessly, moving over 200 tonnes of snow!

The surface was declared playable and the match was on.

Chairman of Cefn Druids John Hughes said :-

"Yesterday was an amazing day, we were due to play Bangor in the WPL & despite our efforts to clear the pitch on Friday we were confronted with Ice and frozen snow. Following our call for help we achieved the impossible. The game was played because of the amazing effort of fans, the club needs to be proud of the camaraderie and local support shown by all. A sincere thank you."
