Druids take on Barry at The Rock
Druids welcome Barry Town back to the Rock after a break of 4 years! Their last meeting at The Rock was back in 2013 in the Welsh Cup which saw Druids win 5-2.
Barry once a main stay of the Welsh Premier League (winning it 7 times) fell on hard times exiting the league in 2004 and with difficulties on and off the pitch this once giant of welsh football looked doomed.
Then in 2007 thanks to hugely committed fans, a fightback was started and following much upheaval the club secured promotion back to the Welsh Premier League last season. The dedication and passion of Barry Fans is renowned in welsh football and we look forward to a bumper crowd at The Rock on Saturday.
Druids travelled down to Jenner Park earlier this season and secured all 3 points after a superb comeback after going 1-0 down before half time to finish 1-3 after 90 mins!
Both sides have enjoyed good results recently, Barry currently sit in 8th on 17 points 3 points behind Druids who are 6th. This game will be a big test for both sides with the chase for that 6th place before phase 2 heating up.
