Druids move 4th!

Druids travelled to Nantporth to take on a Bangor side in struggling form having lost their last two games, whereas druids were looking resurgent with league form which was starting to grab attention. Nevertheless Huw's boys would be under no illusion that they were playing one of the best sides in the league and a win would be hard fought.

Both sides raced into the game and it wasn't long before we found our first goal, on the 15th minute a free kick into the penalty area resulted in a tap in for Mudimu following Nathan Peate's collision with the Bangor keeper. Druids looked to dominate the rest of the play in this half with Ruane coming close soon after the first but denied thanks to the efforts of the Citizens Keeper.

Druids returned to the pitch in the second half, with chances few and far between - Lewis Buckley coming close in the 60th minute but a deflection off the post stopped druids doubling their lead.

Bangor seemed to find some form in the closing stages of the match, pressurising the Druids defence and winning a number of corners which they failed to capitalise on. Their last effort came in additional time, where a volley by Wilson was fired over the net.

With the final whistle blown, Druids leapfrogged Bangor into 4th position in the JD Welsh Premier League, new heights for the club. Huw's men will want to keep their focus and not want to be distracted by the interest which has now been created by their recent form.

Druids remain on the road for their next game, they travel to Park Av to take on Aberystwyth Town on Friday 3rd November KO: 20.00
